How – GLIB and NPTL

• Modern distros use NPTL, the Native POSIX Thread Library for linux in their GLIBC libraries

• UML doesn't like this :(

• Must use a GLIBC which is compiled without

• Not sure how big a deal this is on other distros, under gentoo it's just “USE=-nptl emerge glibc”
