A very neat page linked over from vancouver webloggers is a calledThe Changing City and fades between panoramas of Vancouver taken in 1978 (I was three!) and 2003 (I was/am 3+2003-1978!). You need IE, though it won’t work on my crossover office installed version.
If you don’t have IE or it won’t work for you, view the panorama image itself and then change the “78” in the filename to “03”
I took some pictures around downtown abbotsford a while back because I thought that it’d be neat to see how the city changes in a few years or decades, and a lot of time you don’t think that just a picture of a store on the street could represent history, because it looks the same as it did yesterday and the same as it will tomorrow. It’s only when you look at things in terms of years or tens of years that you see how much things actually are changing.
