RandomPixel – Sending out Ownerless Cameras

This is kind of a neat idea. Kevin Fox‘s site Randompixel is a project that wonders “what would happen if your camera went on a vaction without you?”

A camera, alone in the world. Each Randompixel camera was given to a stranger. Stickers on the camera instruct the recipient to take a few pictures and pass it along. When the camera is done, it is dropped in the mail, it returns home, and the pictures are posted here.

They have only had limited success with cameras being returned, but the pictures are interesting in that they were taken by complete strangers who knew that this was something that’d be just passed on to another total stranger.
