I spent some quality time this weekend with my camera and my first SLR lense ever, a manual SMC 50mm 1.7, some Vivitar close up lenses (No. 1, 2 and 4, in all combinations) and the foliage on my porch and outside the apartments front door.

I know the raindrop on the flower macro shot is a bit cliche, but I like it. Besides, I’m noticing my pictures are starting (slowly) to come out almost exactly like I intended them too, which is a nice thing to see 🙂 Now I just have to get my printer and monitor calibrated so that what I print out vaugly resembles the colors that I see in the monitor 🙂
