Not Dead
Not dead, though tired and sore. Been working pretty much non-stop on stuff with no time to write or stop or do much of anything “personal”. Lots of stuff going on, some people know about, others don’t. House is progressing nicely I think, the drywall is almost all in upstairs, which means it can be taped, mudded,and then painted, though while that’s being done other things, like scraping the ceiling of the place to get rid of the ugly texture and replace it with something less ugly and more subtle (someone who does that sort of thing for a living owes FireflyBro a favor).
Keep fingers crossed for me though on all counts (work, home, me) though, I need it right now.

Poor Alan. You have our support and empathy, hell, take some pity too if you like. As much work as we’ve done on the house, we’ve never has a legion of well meaning inlaws destroy it 🙂 Good luck with the rebuild!
Be glad you’re not living in it while doing the renos… living in a house with drywall dust really bites. From what I remember, scraping the ceiling is hard to do without leaving all kinds of gouges requiring patching/mudding by the drywall people.
