Employee Satisfaction Survey

Bad idea: Promising brand new powerbooks to the developers in your company for Monday and then not delivering.

Worse idea: Having a employee satisfaction survey the day after.

I was nice, don’t worry. I could have bitched in the “do you have adequate computer equipment to do my job” because I guess I do have a computer…. and it does, you know, run… but it’s not a 1Ghz Apple Powerbook G4 with 60 gigabytes of hard drive space, gobs of RAM, 15″ screen….. <pant><pant>

I’m much better now.

Apparently the cause fot he powerbook breakage was bad ram, and they are getting it in tomorrow and in theory it’ll be Powerbook Thursday. In theory. Again 🙂

  1. Al, Do you self a favour and tell yourself it’s coming for Christmas.. That way you’ll be presently surprised, and not pull out all your hair. (opps, too late;))

  2. Mentally adding on a couple of days/weeks to every promised delivery date (for many things) is probably a less stress way to go 😛
Sounds like the health benefits package which we signed up for in April, were supposed to have in May, and just finally got the paperwork for now 🙁
