Comment Closing

Well, I’ve closed all comments for all posts that are older than 31 days after having to deal with 700+ entries of comment spam this morning. Will do the same on UFies at lunch. Oh, and I I track down those responsible, I will be having their balls as decoration on my wall. Props to Jeremy for his script.


I’ve left a couple of the old favorites open though.

  1. I’ve found that simply blocking all “libwww-perl” web agents was an effective way, at least for now. I’m pretty sure that the script the spammers have just uses a random number, then posts the spam to that blog entry.
