Evacuees Complaining
Yesterday I was impressed that the PM was going to send his plane to help evacuate people from Lebanon. Today on the news I hear that some of the first evacuees were complaining about the conditions. These were folks stuffed onto a cruise ship to get them to Cyprus, and I don’t imagine the trip was much fun. There is talk of lack of medical personelle, people vomiting and altogether unpleasent conditions.
I’m in no position to comment on war, the only experience I’ve had with real war is watching it on TV from halfway around the world. However, these people are being removed from a country where they are bombing each other and doing their best to kill people! Get out! Get out however you can and be happy you’re alive is what I say. I’m just thankful that I have not had to experience such things. Lets hope that people come to their senses soon (or to quote Bush the Son, “get their shit together”).
What do you think? Should we be concerned about how people are getting out, or just getting them out?
Hmm, vomit or exploding bombs, I’ll take a day of people vomiting around me instead of blowing up around me any day. Bet the woman complained to her mother for keeping her confined for 9 months.
Ahhh, she was from Montreal bitching about how Canada treated her.
Apparently they were also intercepted by an Israeli ship and delayed for 2 1/2 hours. So…. whose fault is that? Canada?
Oops, sorry, that was the ship bound for Turkey. But still… free passage back to Canada? gimme a break.
