Since I just finished the cabling in the new office at my home I know what this guy went through. The nice thing is if it’s a house being built it is much easier to get the cable run.
I live in a 50 year old home so when we were replacing paneling in the living room we made a cable chase that went all the way to the attic and split it. Half for data/telco/video cable and half for electric cables.
On the data side we ran 3 PVC pipes up to run the cables through so we don’t have to worry about getting the cables nicked by nails. The one thing I can’t stress more is run allot of extra pull string up the chase so pulling new cables in the future won’t be a pain.
