Access, How you Piss Me Off

Another night working on the dreaded ASP project, another bitch about some Microsoft UI user-abusivness. Dear access designers, in order to further piss Alan off with the next release of MS Access, please ensure the following stupid bugs and bad UI remain: Not putting somewhere to save password when connecting to an SQL server via […]

GNOME 2.6 Out

Yup, looks like Gentoo is one of the first with a release, kinda. You have to comment out the “big ass gnome 2.6 mask” in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask, but other than that, updating to the latest GNOME release is as easy as ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 emerge gnome (the gnome 2.6_r5 package is actually the final release). Urge To Kill…. Rising….

I’m approaching complete insanity, quite close to snapping. Actually, I think I snapped tonight. I know that if someone came up to me right now and said that they did some bulk mailing I would quite cheerfully kill them. I need a punching bag I think, or some serious happy drugs.

Fedora Core 2 Test 2 Quicky Review

Had a good lunch with Dana today and in the ensuring (computer security related) discussion he mentioned that someone, somewhere had compared Windows 2000‘s defaults services to those of Redhat‘s Enterprise Linux, and found them to have the same number of attack vectors (that’s “vulnerabilities” to normal people 🙂 Since I have no access to
